Built for the Caribbean, with the Caribbean in mind
Where it started
Last Bite came from a simple observation: food businesses across the Caribbean prepare and cook more than they can sell. At closing time, perfectly good food goes into the bin. Meanwhile, people in the same city are spending more than they need to on meals.
We built Last Bite to close that gap. Businesses list their surplus at a reduced price, customers pick it up during the pickup window, and good food reaches a plate instead of a landfill.
We started in Trinidad and Tobago and are expanding across the region. Our focus is on making the platform straightforward for both sides: a quick two-minute listing for businesses and a simple browse-and-reserve experience for customers.

Our mission
To make surplus food part of the regular food economy in the Caribbean, so that less food is wasted, businesses recover more value from what they prepare, and consumers get access to quality meals at prices that make sense.
Our values
Practical impact
We measure success by kilograms of food rescued and dollars recovered for businesses, not by impressions or engagement metrics.
Fairness for everyone
Businesses get real value for their surplus. Customers get quality food at a fair price. Neither side should feel like they got a bad deal.
Local first
We focus on Caribbean food culture, Caribbean businesses, and Caribbean communities. Global solutions do not always translate to regional realities.
Simplicity
A listing that takes 10 minutes to create is not going to get used. We obsess over making the platform quick enough that it fits into a busy closing routine.
Transparency
We are clear about what is in a bag, where the food comes from, and how our pricing works. No surprises on either side.
Long-term thinking
Reducing food waste is not a trend. It is a necessity. We are building something meant to last, not a quick-flip startup.

A small team with one focus
We are a small, focused team based in the Caribbean. Everyone on the team has a background connected to food, technology, or sustainability, and most of us have watched too much good food go to waste firsthand.
We are actively growing the team. If you are interested in joining, reach out through the contact details in our Help Center.
